Make-A-Wish Foundation
Since 2012, Allegiant has flown over 2,000 children with critical illnesses and their families to various wish destinations.
For the past five years and counting, we’ve provided Make-A-Wish’s Southern Nevada chapter with 7,500 square feet of office space in our Las Vegas headquarters campus for an annual rent of $1. Allegiant is recognized as a Wish Champion by Make-A-Wish America for annual contributions of more than $1 million.
We recently celebrated our 2000th wish fulfillment with Make-A-Wish!
American Red Cross
Allegiant aids disaster preparedness, relief, and recovery in local communities after certain natural disasters.
Just after Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida in 2022, Allegiant announced an immediate $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross. Later, we launched a nationwide blood drive to bolster blood supplies in times of similar disaster.
Susquehanna Service Dogs
Based in Grantville, Pennsylvania, Susquehanna Service Dogs raises, trains, and places assistance and hearing dogs to assist children and adults with disabilities to become more independent.
Allegiant has partnered with SSD for more than six years, providing air travel to their puppies-in-training and their trainers. Flying on an airplane is one of the important tasks a service dog must perform, so trainers take them on frequent trips to condition them. In partnership with SSD, we’ve sponsored airport training sessions for service dogs and their handlers to practice techniques for boarding and in-flight behavior.
In 2018, Allegiant sponsored an SSD puppy who was named SSD Allegiant. He has since graduated from his training and has been matched with a partner. SSD Allegiant assists his partner by performing daily life tasks.
Another puppy sponsored by Allegiant was a black lab named SSD Seeker, whose name pays homage to Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor.
